My pastor said last Sunday that we can’t base our conclusions of God on our circumstances because God specializes in coming through when things seem impossible.

Just a little Food4Thought

A preacher said the most mightiest thing the other day and I will never forget it. He said, “If you want God to resurrect [a Lazurus situation], remove the stone. God will never do for you what you can do for yourself.”

When we have a thousand bad things to say about ourselves, God can counteract with good things that outnumber the sand on the seashore.

The purpose of Christianity is not to avoid difficulty, but to produce a character adequate to meet it when it comes. It does not make life easy; rather it tries to make us great enough for life. — James L. Christensen

Food 4 Thought

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, New King James Version)

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:7-10, New King James Version)

28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. 29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. (Matthew 27:28-30, New King James Version)

Food 4 Thought

Is it possible that the crown of thorns and Paul’s thorn in the flesh are related?

Is it possible that if Paul suffered a messenger of Satan, then the crown of thorns represent the suffering of Christ caused by a multitude of Satanic messengers sent to prevent His redemptive destiny?

“I don’t need to make myself bleed. Jesus shed enough.”

Have a great weekend!

Food 4 Thought

Blessings are for the temporary life…

But rewards are for eternity.

Have a blessed weekend!

  • Life is light (John 1:4)
  • Light is Christ (2 Cor 4:6)
  • Christ is the Word (John 1:14)
  • The Word is Law (Deut 28:58; luke 24:44)
  • The Law is love (Gal 5:14)
  • Love is light (1 John 2:10)
  • Light is opposite of darkness (2 Cor 6:14)
  • Darkness is deception (1 Cor 4:5)
  • Deception is the opposite of truth (2 Cor 4:2)

  • If truth is the opposite of deception,
  • And deception is darkness,
  • And darkness is the opposite of light,
  • Then light and truth are synonymous, or equal to each other.

  • If truth is light,
  • Light is Jesus,
  • Jesus is the Word,
  • And the Word is love.

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the True Word of Love to the world.

I heard this in a dream and it was ringing in my head after  I woke. Something I’m thinking about.

In order for there to be a gain, there must be a loss.

Have a great weekend!
